A: We’re always looking to publish translations, no matter which language it’s in. You do not need to send an email beforehand and ask for permission to write a translation.

Q: Can I cite this website in my schoolwork? Who do I put as the author?
A: As the contents of the website were authored by multiple people, the most correct method is to cite the organisation Socialism101 itself as the author. To make sure your citations are in line with what system your university uses, and to keep them consistent and comprehensible, look up the citation guidelines for your university.
The citation format for a website, following the 6th Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), is as follows:
Organisation. (Year). Title. Retrieved on YYYY-MM-DD from URL
Socialism101 is updated at least every few months, so the year of latest update should always be the current year. The year of initial publication is 2019.
Finding the year for websites can be tricky, especially considering websites tend to be updated from time to time. Some university citation guides ask for the year of publication, and some for the year of last update. If you can't find the year of publication for a given website, you can instead write "(n.d.)" (short for "no date"). That's perfectly legitimate according to the APA publication manuals.
So, for example, if I were to cite the "Basics of Socialism" page on Socialism101, on today's date, I would cite it as such:
Socialism101. The Basics of Socialism. (2019). Retrieved on 2021-06-05 from https://Socialism101.com/basics
The in-text citation could look like this:
